Freelance humor writers wanted
Jokezine's original satirical humor writing. If you have humorous fiction or nonfiction writing, feel free to submit it: jokezinesubmission@yahoo.com, submission on subject line.
Jokezine.com is dedicated to 'the vituperative arts', Auberon Waugh's apt description of humor writing.
Jokezine.com is looking for the next: P.J. O'Rourke, Dave Barry, Ian Frazier, H.L. Mencken, Woody Allen, etc.
England has a great tradition of humor magazines like 'Punch' or 'Private Eye' or has regular humor columnists for their various newspapers. With the exception of maybe the very fine publication 'The Onion,' there are not equivalents in America.
Jokezine.com would like to fill that void.
Requirements for submissions:
1) Articles must be funny and well-written;
2) Send as attachments in Word document;
3) All political viewpoints are acceptable;
4) You maintain the copyright for your work.
What benefits do the writers get?
1) Jokezine.com gets good traffic, so you will be read, instead of on your web site, geocities/mikeisfunny/html;
2) Build a portfolio of humor writing; there are like fifty humor writing jobs in America, if that, mostly high-end jobs, completely inaccessible to most of us, got to start somewhere, why not here;
3) Help be a part of a successful on-line humor magazine.
