The Jokezine Book Guide for humorous fiction/non-fiction is compiled by our editorial staff. In addition, we have composed a celebrity panel that includes Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Presidential Historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., John Updike, Norman Mailer, Tom Wolfe, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Martin Amis, Toby Young, Susan Sontag, and J.D. Salinger.

The list is alphabetical by author and includes fiction and nonfiction. The list is inclusive to include laugh-out-loud selections with other books that are mainly dramatic, but contain significant humorous elements. Some books are perhaps an acquired taste that many people will not find that amusing (e.g. Stanley Elkin 'George Mills'). In some cases a writer is recommended without reference to a book, typically a columnist. I'm hoping to receive specific recommendations for these writers.
